About the Site

Greetings! Thanks for taking the time to look through this site!

I am actually a late convert to Miyazaki and Takahata’s works and started to watch them once the pandemic was in full swing. I do remember watching, or rather “seeing” the characters of Ghibli when I was a boy, but never thought too deeply about it or was impacted by it like so many young children today who are brought up with Studio Ghibli animation.

Now a bit older I can appreciate the masterpieces in craftsmanship that Ghibli films are–and man, have I’ve been missing out!

Because I know a little bit of Japanese and English, I thought it might be helpful to translate some text that are available only in Japanese and provide material for a English reading audience.

Hopefully the contributions from this website will be an overall net positive and will give everyone a richer perspective of the Ghibli world.

I will continue to provide updates on a weekly basis, which you will be able to see on the Blog section. Thank you for taking the time to be here and have a happy day.
